To be alive means to be living and not dead. To have cells that change means something is alive.
To be living means to be able to grow and reproduce. It also means to have a soul.
To be living, you need to depend on the vital functions and have evidence of growth. Scientists are looking into life elsewhere but for now to be classified as living you need to be on earth.
What I think it means to be living is to exist and have purpose. Also, I think it means to breathe and co-exist with one another so that we can survive because if you killed off an important species, we could all be greatly affected.
To be living means to have life. Also to be alive.
While life is hard to define, it generally refers to something that eats, mates and dies. There is still some debate about this.
To have a source of life and energy. To have color.
